WebGen: The New Shut-Ins

WebGen:  The New Shut-Ins

Friday, June 22nd, 2018

I debated putting ” “” ” (quotation marks) around the “New”.

Most people think of shut-ins as old or sick people stuck in their homes who can’t get out.

These individuals are usually (painfully) aware of their situation.

The new shut-ins I am referring to are the young people stuck in their cell phones who can’t get out.

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Monday, May 28th, 2018

     Rest, Peace…and the somber reminder.

Portland, Oregon

I drove by several private cemeteries yesterday and there were already a lot of flags at people’s gravestones.

It must be intense today.

The other day I was talking with a young fellow, who was telling me he was a Veteran, 4 years, VFW, etc.  He said he had Memorial day off and was thinking of riding his motorcycle but did not know where to go.

I suggested he ride up to the Willamette National Cemetery.  He said he did not know where it is.

Lucky guy … (like us.)

The address is:

11800 SE Mt Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086

Update on General Electric’s goal to have a perfect 50/50 ration of male and female workers:

G.E. continues to move forward on the 50/50 plan.  Although there remains some debate concerning which direction the company is heading, details of the plan are emerging.

The current focus of the plan concerns the physical orientation of the employees at the building site.

Will they:

1. space the cubicles evenly (e.g. male, female, male, female….)
2. segregate the males and females by sides of the building (perhaps using a compass… or a rotating building to keep it fair)

Once the employees are in place, phase II details will be banged out.

On the table now:

  • Address the gender deniers and trans-trans gender-errs
  • Operate on all the employees to remove all trace of gender and eliminate the bathroom problem, driving the stock market wild.
  • Implement  gender as an attachment with a firewall that prevents them from opening it at work.

note:  The attachment will not open (display) properly on their cell phones, however, there will be those who try.

Happy Thanksgiving !

Happy Thanksgiving !

Happy Thanksgiving, and Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Thanksgivingsuper.png

On the scientific side, I would like to see the data.

For example, a live feed of how many people and others are saying those words.

Maps, graphs, spikes, etc.

I would also like to see how many are thinking the thought.

Usually, people are forced into the thought when they sit down to the Thanksgiving meal and say their prayers.

Although I did meet a young man (mentioned in an earlier blog) who begins every day writing down a list of things he is Thankful for (clean water is always on the list), it is safe to say that the bulk of the population waits for today.

It’s a calibration of the mind.

How could the data be used?  Put it in a jar under the bed?  Turn it into a cell phone “app” to sell (to hospitals first until the first round of money’s made)?

The government could use the data to distribute funds and workers to areas of unthankfulness.

On the social side, it’s obvious. Things quiet down.

Aside from the widget mongers, who, as in the game of musical chairs are left standing, there is Peace.

Traffic goes away  – people have gotten somewhere.

They have gotten to the place.

Whew!

On the political side….ah, the poor political side…nothing worth noting here.

On the religion side, well, Pilgrim, this is what religion has been talking about.

(I am pretty sure gluttony laws are suspended- it’s a feast for God’s sake!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

and Thank You!

until next year,

Happy Veterans Day, 2017 !

Saturday, November 11th, 2017

We were going to attempt another explanation of this holiday but am holding out on the hope that most people can figure it out themselves.

Thank You Veterans.
